Admission process for semester I will
commence after the declaration of results for Class XII Examination by J&K Board
of School Examination (Jammu Division-WZ). The admission schedule containing
detailed information is published in the local newspapers every year much
earlier than the start of the admission.
Application Forms are filled
online. For applying online the students need to visit college
website “www.gdckishtwar.in”
and click on the link "Admission Sem-1 2022-23" provided for the online
admission.
Student will be redirected to
the admission page where they will find the instructions for online applications
and link to
Student sign up and Student Login.
A student who is visiting the site for first time has to first register by
signing up and filling the relevant information. Students need to make sure that
all the information they are providing is correct. Falsified information may
lead to cancellation of his/her admission at any step at which the discrepance
is detected.
Students need to upload their recent
passport size photograph and signature in jpg format. Size of the photo and
signature file for upload should not exceed 100kb.
After filling the relevant
information and uploading the photo and signature files, student need to press
FINAL
SUBMIT tab at the bottom of the online registration form. The student will be
redirected back to the student signup / login page where he/she can now login to
proceed further for application process. The username of the student will be
CANDIDATE ID generated after filling signup details and password will be XII
Class ROLL No.
Next Step is FILL APPLICATION FORM
wherein complete information filled up by student in the registration form will
be displayed along with the option to select preferences. Here student need to
select three options in order of his/her preference.
Due to ceiling on the intake
capacity, students are advised in their own interest to apply for three subject
combinations in order of preference.
Student need to be careful in
selecting the preferences as after the application is submitted the preferences
will not be changed.
On receipt of applications, Merit
list shall be drawn on the basis of percentage marks obtained in class
12th). Merit list will be displayed on college notice board before last date of
admission.
Admission to various subject
combinations available in the College is governed by merit only and the cut off
percentage for each combination varies.
Students belonging to Reserved
Categories as listed in SRO-126 dated 28.06.1994 shall get additional weightage
of 5% marks at the time of preparation of merit-cum-select list.
The students whose names appear in
the first and subsequent merit lists have to take admission in subjects
combination allotted to him/her and deposit the requisite fee along with hard
copies of all required documents in college. After verification of documents by
college admission committee his/her admission is confirmed. Students who do
not deposit the requisite fee within the time frame notified in each merit list
will forfeit the right to admission and the seats will be offered to other
eligible students falling next in the merit list.
The college reserves the rights to
make any amendment in admission rules except for those governed by University of
Jammu. The Principal reserves the right to accept or reject any application form
for admission without assigning any reason.
